It’s been a crazy seven days of my challenge so far, and I’ve got some insight I want to share with you because I think they’ll be helpful. And I also got a breaking news update. I also want to share with you.

I’m Paul Salinas and I started an epic seventy-five-day business and mindset challenge. I’m combining Andy Frisella’s 75 Hard Challenge to get my mind right and Legendary Marketer’S 15-Day Online Business Builder Challenge to get my money right.

In other words, for the next seventy-five days, I’m going to start and build an online business from scratch, in public, starting from zero with the goal of trying to make five thousand dollars along the way.

You with me?

So only after seven days of this business and mindset challenge, I’ve realized a few things.

Insight number one. Time is everything.

I can’t tell you how fast I’ve been running in the first seven days of this challenge, trying to do Legendary Marketer’s 15-Day Online Business Builder Challenge, trying to do Andy Frisella’s 75 Hard Challenge.

You know, everything that goes with that, whether it’s the two workouts a day, drinking a gallon of water, reading 10 pages of a book, all those things.

And if you’re doing any of those challenges, you know, they take time. And I’ve just realized that I have to optimize my day even better. I’ve been successful so far, but I’ll be honest with you, last night’s perfect example.

So I found myself at eleven-thirty in the evening walking around my back patio and lifting weights outside to fulfill my obligation of the challenge.

And, you know, did I want to do it? No, I didn’t want to do it. I wanted to go to sleep. I just published my video.

If you look at yesterday’s video I published, I think around eleven o’clock. And I published it and I immediately realized that I hadn’t done my second workout yet and I had to get to it. So I did it.

So my whole point of this is that if you’re doing any type of challenge or anything or any goal in life, like you have to set priorities and you have to be strategic on how you use your time.

So that’s insight number one.

So insight number two, what I realize is that using an app or having some type of system that you have close by that can keep track of all the progress and all the things that you have to do on a daily basis is super helpful. I’ve been using an app called Streaks.

It’s actually you can see it here. And basically what it is, is you’re able to put certain tasks that you have to complete every day.

And the whole goal is trying to complete a streak without breaking the streak. So if you’re in 75 Hard, obviously there’s certain things that you have to do. And now, mind you, if you’re starting if you’re doing 75 Hard for the first time, Andy Frisella’s app is fantastic. That’s what I used.

The reason I had to even look for another app is because I did the challenge last November. I finished a challenge and last November and I didn’t want to kind of delete over all the data that I had, like all the daily photos.

And I had notes in there, so I didn’t want to erase that. So I found another I found another app that has actually been fantastic because I’m able to add additional things to my daily “to-do” list.

So here’s insight number three and is probably the biggest insight that has affected me in this entire challenge so far. And it’s that because I’ve decided to combine both challenges and also for one of the challenges you know publish in public, these videos have taken so much time for me.

As you know, or if you don’t know, I’m new to YouTube, I’m new to making videos. I’m new to editing videos. You know, I’m just new to this whole thing in regards to the YouTube game.

So it’s taking me so long and to put things in context. It’s I literally spent about four hours of my day trying to do these videos. And, you know, it’s an hour of scripting and then it’s shooting in retakes and then it’s editing.

And what I also found is that if I can’t do it with the time allotted with me during, like, working hours, and if I push these videos off into the evening, I’m so tired. After spending time with my wife and daughter, after having dinner, stuff like that.

And I’m it’s just it’s so hard to edit and it’s just it’s just painful. So on my walk this morning, I actually realized something I was trying to think like, how can I make these things simpler?

How can I still publish, meet my obligations of my, you know, seventy-five days of publishing in public, but without making it so difficult? And when I realized that I think I’m going to do a twofer.

I think what I’m going to start doing is a lot more raw videos of you coming along on my daily walk and giving you my insights and what I’m working on on a day-by-day basis.

So that was really my big insight. I’m going to kind of go more raw, probably keep the video shorter, and hopefully, that helps.

Insight number four.

So insight, number four is that I gain weight on the weekend. And so if you’re doing 75 Hard, you know that you have a specific diet that you create, which is the coolest thing about that challenge is that there’s boundaries, but you get to make your own diet, whatever you think is a clean diet. But what’s happening is on the weekends when I sit down, basically on the weekends, I have three meals. And during the week I only have two.

On the weekend, my daughter and I make breakfast, we have breakfast, then we have lunch and we have some snacks and then we have dinner.

And so if you’re on this challenge and you’re feeling that maybe you’re not losing the weight you thought you would lose, you know, take a look at your weekend and see if you change your eating habits on the weekends because mine definitely changes. And I see it and I see it in the daily weigh-in. So hopefully that helps.

And so in the spirit of keeping this video short, let’s go into the update. All right so what’s the update?

Today, day number seven, I think I officially became an official YouTuber, and I say that because I got my first organic subscriber and my first organic comment, I want to give a big shout-out to my boy Ethan Binary. I hope I pronounce your last name right. But brother, I appreciate the support.
